I wanted to give an update on my search for this TF2 map I mentioned the last few years, a few months ago I've watched a TF2 community map iceberg video and in this video (by tophonator) there was a showcase of a map by InvalidVertex called "achievement_villains" or "ach_villains" with many variations for day / night and for holidays like Christmas as a lot of trade maps had back in the day. The night version of the map is absurdly accurate to my memories, I believe this might be the map from when I was younger. It was hosted on a server named, "The Idle House", this name is a bit generic so it doesn't ring a bell for me.
The diner / bar area instantly brought back memories but it's a bit off, the tables are not the same shape from what I remember and the spawns are not directly on the roads. I've just downloaded the map and I'll be exploring it a bit.
