I wasn't going to post this cause it's 99 Magic and I already recorded and streamed it but I figured I would post it anyway. I posted this on other social media but here is the loot from the Vyres at the time as I achieved 99 Thieving, at the time of me posting this I'm at 51,951 with 22 blood shards.
Another reason I made this post is to tell those reading about the lack of motivation I have been feeling towards RuneScape and online games as a whole, I mentioned this many times on stream, in recordings, in writings but a friend of mine brought it up and it pissed me off pretty badly and kept me from playing a lot. How would you feel if you and your friend both had ironmen, an honorable game mode where you achieved everything by yourself (outside of some minigames and bosses), you were on your way to maxing your account, and your friend tells you they were buying an infernal cape, corrupted gauntlet completions and combat achievements? Because I hit the logout button as soon as they told me that and I had to force myself to play again, I said, "what's the point?", I don't think anyone that buys progress and arrogantly claims they did it themselves knows why they do it, what is the point of a video game in this regard? What is the point of watching someone else play the game, are they posers and just want to show other people they play the game when they haven't to fit in? It's disgusting and disgraceful, it doesn't matter if it's on an ironman, a pure, a regular account, a skiller, it's stupid and pointless.
Jagex allowing account sharing is also disgraceful, it encourages this dishonorable and weird behavior, this is one of the reasons I also quit playing Destiny because of people buying raid completions, the fact this happens in every online game bothers me to no end, I know everyone says they believe in me and my progress, they can go to the streams and recordings and see me achieving things live but you have literal lesser than monkey IQs putting up a pre-recorded video with live webcam footage of them "achieving" an infernal cape, yes this is real, this happened and I can't believe someone can be so pathetic and bottom of the barrel. Even worse with ai non-sense cropping up even if it is and will always be bad at what it does, the only thing I can think of is doing what speedrunners do and showing a webcam pointed at my hands while playing which I am fine with.
Why did a game I play as a kid turn into a meaningless status symbol for normies, posers and hipsters? They aren't interested in the game, it's world, it's stories, the lore, the easter eggs, secrets, mysteries, they view RuneScape and other MMOs as a shirt they just bought at the store. This is so ******* absurd I can't even explain what goes through their minds if anything. I keep thinking of quitting the game but I won't, I know there's people like me out there, like my husband who thinks the same as me. Aside from just blaming Jagex I also blame the PKing "content creators" as they call themselves who constantly, for some unknown reason, brag that their friends trained their account for them, how grotesque and pitiful. I'll probably come back here and write more later I just really needed to relieve my stress.
