~ RuneScape Mysteries, Oddities, Rumors, Trivia, and Secrets Part 2 by TimeLierG - 7/30/2024 ~
* A list of some of the things that fascinate me about RuneScape or video games as a whole, my favorite thing about a game will always be the intrigue and mysteries about them, the unused content, the strange easter eggs, the question of why a developer added something. I wrote these down as they came to my mind one at a time so there's no order to them. I hope you enjoy this kind of stuff as much as I do. It should be said that I apologize for any strange capitalization, I'm following how RuneScape does it with it's items. All images belong to their respective owners, RuneScape is owned by Jagex. I am not affiliated with Jagex or RuneScape. Welcome to part two.
Video version:
Part 1 - https://youtu.be/kybi5JOwTAs
Part 1 - https://www.bitchute.com/video/TZcRFQY2va6K
-
-
~ Taverly Dungeon Magic Axe Room ~
This part is not about the axes themselves but the room they reside in, in RS1 this room features what looks like doorways resembling the one on the RS2 login screen, this might just be a coincidence. In RS2 these doorways are more generic.
~ Duck Rock Cake ~
There is intentionally disabled, unused code relating to using rock cakes on ducks, jmods have not gone into detail outside of saying something along the lines of this interaction being unsuited and inappropriate for the game, apparently someone did not like ducks. There is no way to see this code so there's no telling what this is.
~ Using a Torch on Sea Slug and Fishermen ~
There's a unique animation that plays of you scaring away the fishermen and the sea slugs when using a torch on them. If you try to bring a tinderbox to the fishing platform it says it's too damp to use it.
~ Using Fire Spells on Mummies ~
If you use fire spells on mummies they will burst into flames.
~ Temple of Ikov Boss Without Ice Arrows / Yew Bow ~
It is possible to complete the Temple of Ikov without the need for ice arrows or a yew bow, well, you'll still need ice arrows equipped. If you have them equipped you can defeat Lesarkus with thrown weapons such as throwing knives, thrown axes and darts.
~ Eye of Gnome ~
This is one of the items I meant to have on the first part, there's not much to say about it though. It's an eye of a gnome that's found on Ape Atoll, including inside of a shop, it doesn't do anything despite sounding like an Herblore ingredient. It could have been added to add flavor to Ape Atoll and make it stand out from other areas of the game.
~ Item Duplication, Archers ring, Mages book and Dagonhai, ~
I won't talk about recent item duplication glitches as these points are mostly about RS1 to late RS2. On March 19th 2014 the price of Archers' rings dropped from 900k to 5k over the span of a few days, this was the mistake of jmods trying out a new feature that would allow players who have lost items due to a glitch or by getting hacked to get their stuff back that they have lost. It's theorized that Jagex meant to give the person 6m GP but instead gave them 6m Archers rings instead and instead of reporting this to Jagex or holding onto them and selling them slowly the player proceeded to dump every Archers ring onto the market.
A similar situation happened with Mages books although I do not have information on this one.
My memory for this one is pretty hazy, when While Guthix Sleeps was released in 2008 there's a part in the quest where you receive a Dagon'Hai outfit from a dresser, up until 2011 (I think) it was possible to leave the area and walk back into the room with the outfit and obtain another one and repeat, it was that easy to duplicate this armor set. The Dagon'hai robetop specifically high alchs for 72k, you can imagine how much GP was brought into the game from this, not like it matters since squeal of fortune was released a few years later.
~ There's a Ladder for a Reason ~
If you attempt to teleport out of the Champion's Challenge the character Larxus will say, "there's a ladder for a reason". I'm not sure why this is, what kind of oversight would this be preventing? I could also mention the "Leon's champion scroll", this is an unused scroll with the examine text of, "It's a challenge from the Human Champion!". You already fight him after all of the other champions have been defeated, it must have been different at one point, maybe you would have needed to get a 1/5,000 human (Leon) scroll. One more thing I wanted to mention, I find it odd how there was no reward for doing all of this outside of around 8k Slayer xp and some Hitpoints xp, having Leon's armor and cape would have been an amazing and unique "show off" set in late 2005. Maybe something like that was planned. Wish me some luck also, after I'm done maxing I am going for all of the scrolls, I only have two as of me writing this (12/31/2024).
~ God Eggs ~
This is one I accidentally didn't include in my first part, it was written in my notes so here it is. The blue, green and red God eggs you receive in birds nests when woodcutting have always interested me, even when Summoning released I feel like the purpose they received was not the original intent, maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Prior to Summoning they had no purpose, again, not everything needs a purpose but it definitely felt like there was some hidden purpose or meaning behind them, especially given the colors.
~ Gardening Boots ~
Released on the 6th of June, 2005, these are a pair of boots that supposedly don't do anything and are a rare drop from farmers, I just found out that these exist in 2024. I assume these were meant to serve some kind of purpose outside of roleplaying and world building.
Edit: I just found out that these had the same examine text as other farming items before farming released, they may have been intended to do something.
~ Talk to the Enchanted Gold Bar ~
You can right click the enchanted bar during MM1 and talk to it, to hear what it's saying you need to have the m'speak amulet equipped, if you do it'll say "I'm stuck in this horrible gold bar" and "Get me out of here!". If you don't have the amulet equipped it will just make monkey noises.
~ Burn Jogre Bones / Superheat ~
You can light jogre bones and use them as a regular fire. You can also use superheat on them which gives you magic and cooking experience if I remember correctly. After being lit for some time the jogre bones will become burnt and you can pick them up to get burnt jogre bones which can be buried, the same happens when you use superheat on them. You can also use jogre bones on a fire and get the message "You heat the bones on the fire but they don't look any different" or something along those lines.
You also need 30 firemaking to light them and if you don't have that you are given a message that says something similar to "you could find another way to light these". Why are there so many interactions with these bones? They only give 16 prayer xp.
~ Fremennik Slayer Dungeon Kurask Size ~
There is a single Kurak in the game that is bigger than the rest of them, I have no idea why this is but it's really interesting. I wonder if it's drop table is different?
~ God Wars Dungeon "Noob" ~
I believe this was added in very late RS2, the word "noob" is written behind certain frozen warriors in the snow. This was also added to OSRS.
~ Brass Necklace ~
Did anyone else used to wear one of these as a kid? When I was younger I thought this had some sort of purpose, a useless item isn't too out of place in a game like RuneScape but it is still odd, it can't be made through crafting and is obviously dropped by goblins, found in the bank in western Varrock, and under Edgeville. it being found downstairs in the bank is what made me think it may be special despite being pretty common from goblins.
Maybe it was going to be used for a quest that was never implemented. Something of note is that for some reason this item was dropped by Moss Giants in RS1 but not in RS2.
~ Old Crandor ~
In early RS2 the island of Crandor used to look a lot different, similar to how it was in RS1. Instead of having burned ruins everywhere it looked like a normal island with green grass, trees and bushes. I don't understand why it looked like this considering the lore, I have to assume it's due to the limitations RSC had, there wasn't many unique textures in RS1.
~ To Be Continued ~

Here's a part two! I'd like to point out that if I make other parts and possibly in this one as I'm writing it that there may be a theory or two that I found on /v/, I'm usually pretty good at remembering if I thought one up myself and if I found it elsewhere, I'll always list if I found a theory that's not by me. I know what it's like for someone to steal your ideas and while I can't credit the anons on /v/ I'll at least say if an idea isn't mine.
Edit, here's the video versions of my blog post.
https://youtu.be/uDJPzx3mNh8
https://old.bitchute.com/video/xKZiAU8dwdmv/
~ Ocean.ogg ~
This is the little sound effect that plays when you first fall into the dark world in the closet, everyone is already aware of all of the other allusions to the sea in Deltarune and a little bit in Undertale but this one is a little less known. It'd be more known if it was a piece of music but it's just a short sound clip. I'm not sure what all of the ocean or sea stuff means, you have Jevil mentioning "Hell's roar bubbles from the depths", the background for vessel creator being named "IMAGE_DEPTH", Onionsan mentioning music coming from the waves or something along those lines and there was a lot more ocean / sea themed names and images in the Spamton Sweepstakes.
If I had to take a guess I'd say the dark world is like an ocean that keeps going deeper or as Gaster says darker and darker as if it has layers to it, it's pretty obvious a fountain is going to be made within a dark world and were most likely going to see some pretty disturbing stuff inside of that.
~ Everyman ~
Just who is this fellow who shows up on occasion? Even if it's just a joke by Toby it's still in the games canonically, he's in the true lab of all places even if it was just during one of Reaper Bird's attacks and in Deltarune he shows up quite a bit, strangely he can appear during Jevil's carousel which makes me think he's important to the story somehow, he's also in the alleyway in Home Town as some graffiti along with ICE-E. In chapter 2 he appears in more attacks, specifically by the Popups (I forgot the name of the enemy) and in one of Queen's attacks.
It's really strange seeing the creature on the wall in Home Town, you might be able to pass it off as just a generic looking enemy for an attack but it's actually right there on a wall, it exists in-universe.
~ the_n3w3st_g1rl_g1rl ~
This post on Noelle's blog makes absolutely no sense at all, I remember people discussing this on /v/ for days after the Spamton Sweepstakes was released. Due to how nonsensical it is I've heard theories that there's some kind of time loop happening in Deltarune or something similar to what Sans mentions about timelines in Undertale as you fight him, I'm going to bring up a few points about why this blog is so strange if any of you forgot about it.
This blog takes place sometime before Deltarune, during it Noelle is watching from outside of the classroom as Susie bullies Kris and throws an apple at him for not speaking, to which Kris reacts and catches it, this angers Susie's more and she says something along the lines of how his mother is going to get sick of him and how she'll realize how happy she was without him. According to Noelle Kris whispered something in a way where he barely moved his mouth to say it, Susie's reaction to whatever Kris said was to run as fast as possible out of the room. This is a giant mystery in itself and I think a lot of people saying it was a simple phrase like "yeah" are not thinking enough on this or about Susie's reaction to bolt out of the room, he clearly said something important instead of something that would make Susie emotional in my opinion but that's just me.
With what Kris could have said aside for now, a bigger part of this that doesn't make any sense is right at the start of chapter 1 we see almost the same situation happen again. Like, what? Wouldn't Kris just say the same thing again, why does this blog seem like a retelling of chapter 1. I want to also point out how different the characters are here, I suppose one could mention the unused dialogue of using Susie's tea on Noelle with it healing over 400 HP but still, Kris is clearly in need of help or reassurance from his friend and Noelle is just standing there fantasizing about the person bullying her childhood friend? What even is this. This strangeness extends to her other blog posts as well like the piano one.
All of her blog posts make me think she's some main character of the story and that Deltarune is somehow just another game she is playing, especially considering it seems like she has meta knowledge of Deltarune itself, this is something I've been thinking for a long time now, it's like the "real" characters are outside of Deltarune and are spoken about in these blogs, this kind of lines up with the shadow crystals "glass" counterpart in the light world and how when Kris holds it up he can't see his hand through it as if he doesn't exist and when he looks at Susie through it she looks coldly at him as if he is seeing the "real world" as in the world in the blog. I don't know if anyone mentioned this before but they probably have, this is just a theory of mine and I don't know if I believe it, there's probably some stuff that debunks this. Me and my friend always thought the king was related to Susie's father as if it's the Deltarune stand in for her real father outside of Deltarune and in the blog universe, it's like the dark world is just a deeper layer of the already fake light world, as many mentioned it could be an allegory for escapism, digging deeper and deeper into fantasy to escape reality.
If the light world is the main world of Deltarune and there is no "outside of Deltarune" maybe the blog is just depicting a world without dark worlds, kind of like the theories you hear talked about where the shadow crystal showing Susie staring coldly may be depicting the same thing.
The fact none of this specific blog post, the events within are mentioned in the game is strange, it can't be understated how strange this actually is. Noelle acts like she's never heard Susie speak before let alone bully Kris in the game itself, in fact Noelle specifically mentions she's never seen her bully anyone, there were other characters that mention they've never seen it either and I suppose this could be passed off as Noelle being forgetful which is shown and told multiple times in the game but this wasn't a traumatic experience for her so who knows.
Another thing about this blog post and the piano one (at least I think it's the piano one) is that they have some differences in the spelling / wording. Anyway, I feel there's a reason for these inconsistencies, Toby obviously isn't the best writer, neither am I but I feel there's too much wrong with this for it to not be intentional.
~ Roaring Knight Predictions ~
Is it Rouxls Kaard? Is it ICE-E? Is it Papyrus? I personally think it's a character we haven't seen yet, it would be really disappointing and boring in my opinion if it's a character that's already had development prior, if I had to take a guess I'd say it's Dess for no reason other than her importance to the story, or at least implied importance. It really seems like she may have been one of if not the first person to enter a dark world, I'm basing this off how she's missing and it would be kind of odd if she was missing in the light world, to me anyway.
The intentionally unused file in Deltarune that mentions someone being trapped somewhere which gets updated every chapter might be her from the past just as she fell into a dark world for the first time before becoming the knight, as for her "findher" guitar on Noelle's blog I'd imagine if that fell into the dark world it would transform into a darkner that could serve as a guard for her if you eventually fight her in the game.
There's always the possibility that there are multiple knights as well.
~ Kris' Save File ~
When chapter 1 came out I didn't notice this or pay attention to it until a few months later, before you have the chance to save the game it appears Kris has his own save file that we overwrite when saving, if you think this is just a programming quirk then try deleting the save file and starting a new game, Kris' save will still be gone and the file will just be labeled as "[EMPTY[" instead of having Kris' name there. I could go on and on about the lore implications of this but I'll just leave it at that for now. I don't remember too well but I think you can also see Kris' save file appear again after chapter 1 somehow.
~ Ms. Pipis ~
I remember seeing a Steam game update in my library sometime after the release of chapter 2 only to find out it was Deltarune that had an update to download, which added the "Ms. Pipis", a rarer variant of the regular Pipis on the weird route. It has a 1/100 chance of spawning in a group of them. It has a pink bow. Why was this added?
~ End ~
Considering how small these games are and how big the communities for these games are all of this stuff is very well documented and known but I thought it was fun to cover them myself.

With the announcement of Chapters 3 and 4 releasing on June 5th 2025 I decided to make this post, I know I've made posts like this on Deltarune before but hey. Maybe some of these will be answered in the next chapters.
Video version of this blog post:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEZpfTNA8Qs
https://old.bitchute.com/video/AlgWzYIth5oy/
~ Ralsei's Knowledge ~
Ralsei seems a bit too knowledgeable sometimes making him absurdly suspicious, it was bad enough in chapter 1 where he was having a conversation with Kris while we watch Susie but in chapter 2 the suspicion rises as he tells Kris where objects are located in the school as well as that scene after Spamton Neo where he tells Kris not to worry about the situation and ignore it.
~ Unused Items ~
I'll start with some unused armor, there's the Dark Gold Band, Sky Mantle, Mouse Token and the Spike Shackle. The Sky Mantle might be related to the shadow mantle that Seam was going to give you, it gives you 50% damage reduction from electric and holy damage. For weapons there's the "Trefoil" and "Cheer Scarf" which don't seem too interesting and what's known as the "Everybody Weapon" which was probably just used for testing. I'm not going to talk about any unused consumable items since those aren't too interesting either, however what seems absurdly interesting and important is the "Pure Crystal"an item that's an ingredient to make the Twisted Sword along with the Thorn Ring. The sword has a trance effect like the Thorn Ring does, if I had to take a guess I'd say this will lead to a new route just like the weird route.
The item description for the Pure Crystal says, "purified by the cat", I wonder if it's talking about someone other than Seam?
~ Glow Shard ~
If my memory is correct you can get two Glow Shards, one in chapter 1 in the closet Dark World and the other one is in Queen's Castle in chapter 2. Their only purpose currently is to be sold for a small amount of money, everybody usually saves these because it really does seem like an item that would be used for something else later on. If they were more common I wouldn't think anything of them.
~ Gyftrot Noelle Connection ~
I like how everyone instantly thought of Gyftrot after Noelle's blog was released, I saw an interesting, cool and creepy theory on /v/ that a lot of characters in Undertale, including the goner characters are representations or literally the characters of Deltarune after something terrible happens. An example would be the "hyper goner" being Ralsei and Gyftrot or the DT Extractor being Noelle or Dess.
~ Asriel's Room in the Dark World ~
Given Susie's dialogue and the rooms being based on search history this one is probably just a joke, it's still pretty odd that Kris closes his eyes when looking inside of his brothers room. Were the dragons really that indecent?
~ Castle Town Hole in The Cliff ~
There's a strange hole in Castle Town just below the cliff where you first entered the place, I remember picking up some items here which I think has to do with dark crystals between saves but I don't remember too well to be fair. I have no theories on why there's a hole here, it could be for a future location where instead of using the overworld to go somewhere you enter a new place in the Dark World itself.
~ Save File Differences ~
I think there's going to be a mechanic or gimmick in future chapters involving save files, maybe involving making saves on three different routes for pacifist, snowgrave or aborted snowgrave. Remember when the "survey program" released and you'd get weird dialogue from assumedly Gaster when you mess with save files in the menu? "Choose the target for the reflection, the division is complete, it was as if it was never there at all, it will be subsumed" were just some of the dialogue you would get, a particularly interesting line of dialogue happens if you copy the same file to all three slots and then overwrite one of them with, again, the same save, dialogue appears stating "what an interesting behavior".
Another interesting one is attempting to overwrite a save file ten times but cancelling it every time to which the dialogue "very interesting" appears.
One of the most interesting lines are "preparations are complete" after copying a save and filling out all of the slots, this is definitely more evidence to saves being important. I do remember this dialogue showing up in newer releases of chapter 1 and 2 as well but I could be wrong. To add more proof of this idea there's different examine text for Asriel's drawers in him and Kris' room across the three save files.
~ Dice Brace on Noelle ~
When you equip the Dice Brace on Ralsei he says it spells out "friendship" but Noelle actually has unique equip text when it's given to her, she stutters and says "Hey, y-you jumbled it...". This seems really ominous to me, what did Kris spell with the Dice Brace as a message specifically for Noelle?
~ Ralsei's Door ~
If I'm remembering right you can't actually interact with that door behind Ralsei's cooking pot, I'm assuming it leads to his dark fountain which will most likely play a role in later chapters. Just what is the goat hiding? I certainly don't trust him. It's probably where he keeps all of his rainbow fruit.
~ Potential Alternate Scenes ~
Someone on /v/ had the idea that something may happen if you start to do the super boss quests but then stop right at the end, for example if you obtain Jevil's key but never open the door and if you obtain the Loaded Disk in chapter 2 but never deliver it. It does seem like something obscure that Toby would include in future chapters.
~ Face Just Before the Teacups ~
The question of who the face belongs to is a pretty big talking point, just before you take the teacup ride downstairs in preparation of the Neo fight, if you wait long enough you'll see a face appear in the darkness. It has the same eye colors as Spamton's Dealmaker glasses except reversed with a large, cheshire cat like grin. This can't be Spamton because he can't enter the basement himself, I have a theory that it'll be an orange cat in a later chapter but that's a discussion for another time.
It's worth noting the same face appears on an unused object that would have been used during the ride with Berdly. Oh yeah also, the file name for the face is just "IMAGE_FRIEND".
~ It's Raining Somewhere Else ~
Just an interesting thought that Deltarune might be that "somewhere else" in the song title as the shop themes are intentionally similar to the song in Undertale. Obviously there's too many song similarities to count with leitmotifs but this one always stuck out to me.

I won't go over things that have been talked about a lot such as Selph since everyone already heard enough about them, I will list some more obscure mysteries I heard about from others here.
Video version of my blog post:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUghNLkbMiE
https://old.bitchute.com/video/ubjvmmF8FCWT/
~ Snowman in Frozen Bell ~
What even is this supposed to be, I've only seen one or two people mention this but there's a strange snowman that looks like it's designed after something or someone we don't see in the game. It has what looks like a beak, at least to me, a ponytail and buttons. It kind of looks like it has glasses but I think that's just me seeing things.
~ Early Clawz Design ~
This is my least favorite boss in the game to put it nicely, both gameplay wise and aesthetically speaking. There's a few early designs of the character which look really neat and fit the games style a lot more.
~ Puffy's Closet Umbrella and Jackle's Guillotine ~
I just learned recently that the trigger for the umbrella to fall out of Puffy's closet after defeating her is by having a "2" in the timer, I found this out from someone who goes by "JiggyLookBack" in his NiGHTs video. I commented on said video regarding this oddity as well as mentioning Jackle's guillotine dropping, I was wondering what the trigger for this was when someone responded to me and said it actually doesn't even exist, people datamining the game stated there is no animation for his guillotine going off. I haven't seen this myself and only heard of this from one of Digi Valentine's videos where he mentions it happening, it seems like there's a mystery here.
I wonder where he original heard it from or if it was a memory of his? It's really interesting but don't pester the guy about it. There is actually one other mention of this online, a post saying that the guillotine sometime's drops after Jackle is defeated, the poster said he found this on a NiGHTs wiki. I haven't found any wiki that mentions this, I assume it was removed. The poster also mentions the chances of the guillotine dropping are "very rare". I'm assuming both of these individuals saw this from the wiki and that said wiki was the source of this rumor. If this is the case I wonder who originally came up with this and why, NiGHTs is already really obscure even if it is becoming more well known, I highly doubt someone made this up as a troll, it's so oddly specific.
How did this individual see Jackle's guillotine drop or imagine it did? This is the kind of stuff that will keep you up at night, truly.
~ Scrapped Halloween Level ~
There's an unused Halloween themed level that was found in the PS2 version of the game, it seems like the boss of the level would have been in Puffy's room. There's music that would have went along with this level, I'm sure everyone's heard it before.
~ Air NiGHTs ~
I don't have a lot to say about this because there's almost nothing known about it, Air NiGHTs was going to be a sequel to NiGHTs into Dreams on the Saturn before being moved to the Dreamcast and then being scrapped, how fitting would that have been? It was going to have motion controls like Journey of Dreams on the Wii. I wonder if concepts from both NiD and this project made it into JoD.
I really want to see what this game would have looked like, the Dreamcast has some of the most cozy games on it, I bet the game would have had an amazing aesthetic.
~ Spiral Claris Level ~
The internal name for Twin Seeds is "#P7:ELIOT'S-CITY" which implies Claris would have had her own version of a final level instead of being a copy paste, to go along with this there's a name in the files for something labeled "#P8:SPIRAL-CLARIS".
~ Blue Door ~
In prerelease footage of the game from E3 there is a mysterious blue door that can be seen in Frozen Bell a few times, the video suspiciously cuts as soon as Elliot is about to jump into it.

~ Tektonix ~
This memorial site for this mans Onix always stuck out to me, I didn't play the gen 1 remakes too much when I was younger but when I reached the Sevii Islands and saw this I kind of just sat around the little island and took in the view, it also made me a bit sad, probably the first time a video game managed to make me feel that way. You can place a can of lemonade on the memorial and Tektonix's owner here will give you the TM for facade. I figured there would be more to do here back in the day but it's just a neat piece of scenery.
~ Hearthome Cathedral ~
When talking about mysteries in the Pokemon games this is one that comes up a lot, in DPP you can find a unique cathedral or church in Hearthhome that's impossible to miss, there is nothing to do or find in this cathedral, it's completely empty except for a lot of characters who speak some wisdom to you, what gets people the most is how there's no music inside.
In a video game that's full of music when you enter an area where there is none it makes you think something important is going to happen, especially in a unique place like this.
I and many others online think this was going to be where you would obtain an event item such as the azure flute or some other kind of event item, this place seems like it would be very important to the story as well but there's just nothing here.
~ Vermilion City Construction ~
Another popular mystery, what is the construction site in Vermilion City going to be turned into when it's complete? Game Freak had quite a few chances to do something with it, especially with GSC, I haven't played the Let's Go games but I think I saw that it's still empty in those as well.
~ Mossdeep White Rock and Space Station ~
This is one that we all tried to figure out as kids, the white rock that's right outside of the Mossdeep space station, I don't remember the exact dialogue but a character standing next to the rock says something about a wish so everyone assumed this was connected to Jirachi in some way, maybe it was during the development of the game. I always found it odd that Jirachi never received it's own event area and you just got it from that Colosseum bonus disc among other methods.
Another number of things that are strange with this place is that it barely plays a role in the story and the role it does play makes no sense in regards to Team Magma wanting to make a volcano erupt, one of the engineers saying what your playtime is in a cryptic way and in the number of weeks instead of hours, something even stranger is that you can't access this place when Groudon or Kyogre are causing the weather issues. I would mention the differences between Ruby / Sapphire and Emerald in terms of the look of the station but that's probably just them not being satisfied with the original design.
~ Altering Cave ~
Altering Cave is an area that opens up after you defeat the Elite 4 in Emerald, there's a copy of it in FRLG but it goes by another name which I forgot, this cave was going to be used in an event that would distribute gen 2 Pokemon. I remember hearing a lot of rumors a few months after release that you could find all sorts of Pokemon here, quite a few people saying you could get mythical Pokemon, while I didn't believe that I spent some hours a day trying to get something to happen in there, eventually I found a shiny Zubat which was cool.
~ Smeargle's Tail Colors ~
This is an odd one, there has always been a lot of inconsistencies with Smeragle's tail color, it was originally red with the shiny being green despite art at the time showing it with a green tip, in Stadium 2 it has a lot of different colors, if I remember correctly I think this had to do with the nickname? I could be wrong on that one, I never used Smeargle before let alone a nicknamed one. Then gen 3 came around and the normal and shiny colors were swapped for good, except in Colosseum and XD where it's red again due to it reusing models from Stadium, the shiny version is blue in these games also. There's probably some examples I'm missing with this.
~ Artisan's Cave ~
Speaking of Smeargle, Artisan's Cave. At least the Altering Cave has an explanation for it but this one doesn't as far as I'm aware, it's a cave under the Battle Frontier that just has Smeargle in it along with a lot of vitamins, it's in a pretty obscure area as well. The size of the room makes me question the purpose of it further, it really is a massive cave. Maybe it had another purpose at one point, it feels like a place where you would find a legendary.
~ Event Only Areas ~
I absolutely love the concept of these locations, mysterious, limited time areas where you can get legendary or mythical Pokemon. I remember watching a lot of videos showing these off as a kid and having this feeling afterwards like there could always be more to games, things left undiscovered. The only event I've taken part in was the Shaymin one, seeing Seabreak Path open up will always be one of my favorite memories with Pokemon and I'm sure it's the same for many others.
Something I never understood is what's known as these new age "fomo" people who become upset at limited time things in life, I dislike when developers cater to them and ruin the memories some people could have had, the reason why discontinued items and events are special is because you can no longer obtain the items or visit said events, the people that want them afterwards will feel nothing if they are given those things because they weren't there to experience it, they have no memory of it and if given them now it will not be a new memory for them but just something that everyone got to experience.

 |
Hello! Welcome to Crescent Quest 1.8.4, there is now a Saint Patrick's and Easter event happening, both take place in New Cressora through the Cressora Town event portal. Not much has changed with these from last year but I have added a few new things.
* Added two new, soon to be discontinued items, the Clover Saint's Cape and Twin Rabbit Ears. These items won't be able to be obtained again after this event is over.
* Added the green, blue, pink, purple and yellow Clover Charms.
* Added the red, blue and green Essence Symbols.
* Added more detail to dialogue boxes and the game menu.
* Added the Numinous Shield Staff.
* Added a new shop in Wythdire.
* Increased the bonuses of the Ancient weapons.
* Altered the design of the Ancient Hermit Staff.
* Shortened the names of some equipment, for example the Draconic Scale Helm is now called the Draconicscale Helm.
